LIL DURK NEW ALBUM “ALMOST HEALED” IS OUT TODAY!

The album features J. Cole, Future, Morgan Wallen and more. The album cover is featuring Lil Durk with bandages covering his face only revealing his eye which blood is flowing out of. He’s arguably the most commercially viable proponent of drill music, and that success allows him to float above the noise that roils heated discussions about the homegrown sub-genre according to “Rolling Stones.” The intro of Almost Healed, initially seems to reflect his new image as a mature Chiraq survivor. It opens with an evocative intro from Alicia Keys, who nods to the lingering grief he feels from the murders of his brother Dontay Banks and longtime friend King Von. The single “All My Life,” a made-for-streaming hit with J. Cole that has become Durk’s biggest single to date, peaking at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.

According to The Source…Almost Healed pops off as his most personal, engaging, and enigmatic project to date. Laced with bold bangers and introspective anthems alike, it highlights his undeniable melodies and incisive bars at the forefront. He not only shines solo on the likes of “Never Again,” but he also distinguishes himself as the rare chameleonic force who can collaborate with country superstar Morgan Wallen on “Stand By Me” or the late Juice WRLD on “Cross The Globe.”

“At first it was 2.0. At first it was The Voice 2.0 and I just figured that going through a lot of stuff and people thinking they know me, thinking I’m going through a lot of that that I wasn’t going through and I was just having a basic conversation with Peter and we were just talking. I’m like, ‘Man, I’m almost healed for me just to come back outside.” And he’s like, “Man, that name’s so powerful.’ And I’m like, ‘Man, that’s the name right there, Almost Healed,’” he said of the album in a recent interview with Apple Music.
