METRO BOOMIN’S ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE’S SOUNDTRACK IS LOOKING TO MAKE SOME NOISE

The soundtrack album, which shares the same name as the film, was curated by American record producer Metro Boomin and was released on the same day as the movie. The soundtrack was released on June 2, 2023, the same day as the film’s theatrical release. The soundtrack featured guest appearances from Swae Lee, Lil Wayne, Offset, ASAP Rocky, Roisee, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, JID, James Blake, Nav, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Ei8ht, Don Toliver, Wizkid, Beam, Toian, Coi Leray, 21 Savage, 2 Chainz, and Nas. Metro also provided the voice for “Metro Spider-Man”, a fictional version of himself as Spider-Man in the film. While the set was heavily promoted, it may not reach the same heights as its film counterpart according to Forbes. But meanwhile his latest album Heroes and Villains has officially been certified Platinum.

Presently, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse appears to be on track for a top 10 debut on the Billboard 200, the weekly albums chart in the U.S. While this is a solid start for any release, considering the marketing efforts, the talented contributors, and the reputation of Metro Boomin, it might be slightly disappointing to some that it likely won’t rise to the No. 1 spot again according to Forbes.

But clearly Metro Boomin has evolved as a producer and is making noise in the entertainment industry.
